In 2021: this announcement is about the removal of the two plastic shrouds on the MC4 Evo-2 product. ......
In 2023: The MC4 Evo-2 phase-out took longer than Stäubli initially had expected/planned. That's why Stäubli re-issues herewith the PCN 2021-01 with updated timing regarding the cease of MC4 Evo-2 supplies to customers. The cease is in place to reduce complexity in production and deliveries. The entire MC4 familiy is compatible. The assembly instruction MA 298 applies to the product MC4 Evo-2A.

Change Impact

In 2021&2023: In response to customer requests and in order to ease deconnecting of the MC4 Evo-2 PV connectors Stäubli has removed 2 shrouds. MC4 Evo-2A shall be opened using Stäubli PV-MS unlocking tools. The certificate numbers of MC4 Evo-2 remain active.
