The KEL-DPZ-HD hygienic cable entry plates, available with metric threads from M32 to M63, are designed for installation in food processing and packaging machinery. The KEL-DPU-HD is distinguished by its robust, solid frame and enhanced strain relief for routed cables. The KEL-DPU-HD 24 precisely matches the cut-out dimensions of 24-pin standard industrial connectors.
Developed in accordance with Hygienic Design guidelines, the cable entry plates have surfaces free of dirt-collecting recesses and are exceptionally smooth. The surface roughness, measured according to ISO 4287, is only Ra = 0.421 μm (arithmetic mean). The outer contour features a radius of 6 mm, exceeding the minimum requirement of 3 mm.
Hygienic cable entry plates use an FDA-compliant elastomer in line with food approvals 1935/2004/EC and (EU) 10/2011, and are detergent-resistant, with certification from ECOLAB. They are designed to route multiple cables and hoses with diameters ranging from 3.2 mm to 22.2 mm, providing sealing in accordance with IP65/66/67/68 standards. Hygienic ST-B-HD plugs (also available as detectable ST-B-HDD versions) can be used to seal pierced membranes when cables are removed.
Compared with hygienic stainless steel cable glands, these plates offer significant advantages, including higher cable density, greater flexibility in cable diameter range, and notable cost savings.

Membrane-based hygienic cable entry plates allow unterminated cables or pneumatic hoses to be routed quickly and efficiently into control cabinets, panels, and machines, providing sealing with certified protection classes up to IP66/IP68 (according to EN 60529).
